Final Proposal of the new Strategic Investment Projects Act has been presented by the Government of the Republic of Croatia on 15 February 2018


On 15 February 2018 the Government of the Republic of Croatia has presented the Final Proposal of the Strategic Investment Projects Act. It was emphasized that the purpose of that intended legislative change is to simplify and accelerate the investment projects preparation procedures.

Proposed Act provides several significant changes in favour of potential investors: minimal amounts criteria of the total investments costs for a strategic project is decreased from HRK 150 million to HRK 75 million, percentage of the proof on the amount of the funds for financing the project has been decreased from 10 % to 5 % and it will be accepted if in the form of deposit, bank letter and/or the funds already invested in the project. President of the Government of the Republic of Croatia has stated that the intended changes provided in the Proposed Act aim at strengthening the investment environment in Croatia.20

Ana Vrsaljko Metelko held a presentation at the 2nd International Transport and Insurance Law Conference INTRANSLAW Zagreb 2017


We are pleased to report that our lawyer Ana Vrsaljko Metelko participated as one of the speakers at the 2nd International Transport and Insurance Law Conference INTRANSLAW Zagreb 2017. The conference was held on October 12 and 13, 2017 in Zagreb on the topic “Transport law towards the future”.

The main themes were digitalisation and new technology in transport, a single market for transport services and competition issues, ship and aircraft financing, shipbuilding, insurance and transportation secrecy, transport risk insurance, logistics and multimodal transportation.

Ana, as a member of our transportation law team, held a lecture on „Enforcement over an Aircraft and over the Vessel – Same Rules before and some New Ones after Initiation of a Bankruptcy Procedure“, in which she has reviewed the enforcement procedures on aircrafts and ships, as well as the rights of creditors with separate collection right on the initiation and continuation of enforcement proceedings on object where there is a separate collection right after initiation of the bankruptcy procedure.
